Rounds 7 & 8 of the Scottish XR2 Championship take place this Sunday. The entry list for the weekend is quite large, with some new drivers joining the field and some old hands returning to the join the fray, notably Jay Callaghan, last season's Newcomer's Champion and overall Championship runner up.
Our qualifying session is at 9.30am and we are races 5 and 13, so expect us to be out for race one around 11.30am-12pm. The rest of the program comprises the full SMRC race program, with Mini's, Legends, Saloons, Classics and Formula Ford all on track. Joining us this weekend is the Northern Saloon and Sportscar Championship from the Darlington and District Motor Club. This championship is similar to the Scottish Saloons cars, so it common to find both grids boosted by drivers entering each other's races.
Last night we ran the car at a track night and it seems that the ongoing issues have been resolved, so we're looking for two decent results this weekend. Keep an eye out here for race reports on Sunday.
